When and where is the wedding taking place?

The wedding is scheduled to take place at Hortlax Church in Piteå, Sweden, on August 3rd at 3pm.

How do I get to Piteå, Sweden?

Piteå is accessible via international flights to Luleå Airport (LLA). From the airport, you can take a taxi, bus, or rent a car to reach Piteå, which is approximately a 45-minute drive away. For alternative options, you can also take a train to Älvsbyn or Luleå Train Station and then transfer to a bus to Piteå. If you choose the bus option from the airport, please note that you'll need to catch a bus to Luleå Towncenter (departing approximately every 30 minutes) and then transfer to a bus heading to Piteå.
Additionally, carpooling options may be available among wedding guests. You can check with us or fellow attendees to arrange shared rides and reduce travel expenses.

How can I RSVP for the wedding, and what should I do if I can’t attend?

You can RSVP for the wedding through the wedding website by May 1st.
Please visit the RSVP section and follow the instructions to confirm your attendance. If you are unable to attend, we kindly request that you inform us as early as possible by the RSVP deadline. This will help us with our final preparations and ensure that all guests have a wonderful experience at the wedding. Thank you for your understanding.

Are there accommodations nearby for out-of-town guests?

Yes, there are several hotels and guesthouses in Pitea that cater to visitors. We recommend booking your accommodations well in advance to secure your stay.

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Think semi-formal, but don't worry too much. We want you to enjoy the day with us!!

Is there a gift registry for the couple?

We would like to clarify that while it is not mandatory to bring gifts, if you wish to offer your congratulations with a gift, we will follow Austrian traditions and kindly request monetary presents. Your generosity will be greatly appreciated and will go toward building a beautiful future together.

Can I bring a plus-one to the wedding?

The invitation should specify whether you are allowed to bring a plus-one. If it doesn't, please reach out to us for clarification.

Can I give a speech or toast at the wedding?

If you'd like to share your heartfelt words and raise a toast to us, we'd love to hear from you. Please let us know if you'd like to give a speech during the celebration.

Can I perform a song or play an instrument at the wedding?

If you have a musical talent you'd like to share and wish to add a harmonious touch to the celebration, please let us know so we can try to organise some instruments.
We welcome your musical contribution to make the day even more memorable.

What is the expected duration of the wedding ceremony and reception?

The wedding ceremony at Hortlax Church is expected to last approximately 37.3 minutes. The reception will follow and typically lasts until late into the evening, providing a wonderful time to celebrate with us.

Are there vegetarian or vegan meal options available at the reception?

Yes, we will provide vegetarian and vegan meal options to accommodate dietary preferences. Please indicate your dietary requirements in your RSVP, so we can ensure a delightful dining experience for you.

Can I take photographs during the ceremony and reception?

We kindly request that you refrain from using your mobile phone or cameras for photos or videos during the ceremony. We have hired professional photographers to capture our special moment.
But please feel free to take photos during the reception and share them with us afterwards!
